Little Video, Big Messages

This is the third of three videos we’ve made to motivate you in the coming school year (the others are Now That’s What I Call Outstanding and ‘If’ — For New Teachers).

It takes a brave teacher to say they care more about the characters their students become than the grades they get. Whether you agree or not, please show this to your students, talk about the sorts of people they want to become and the character traits they think matter. Above all, we hope it encourages you to develop, place value on and reward characteristics as well as academic success.

All the “big messages” are available from our resources page and we’ve got a decent sale on at the moment (including a rather good offer on our ‘Magnificent Seven’ pack). Find out more here.

Feel free to download a copy of this video if you want to use it offline — just right-click here and save to your computer. We’d love to hear how you’ve used it and no doubt developed the ideas in it! As well as Vimeo, we’ve put it on YouTube too, if you want to share it that way…

You can watch the other videos here: Now That’s What I Call Outstanding and here: ‘If’ — For New Teachers.

Spread the word: Share

So, what do you think?

  1. Messages that support a growth mindset can be a powerful tool. I will be sure to share this with my schools and let everyone knows where we went with it as we aim to develop students with GRIT!

    1. Only just found sparky teaching. Wow. Your resources are great. I have downloaded some freebies and will be buying some more. Thank you. You remind us all why we are in this job :0)
